CHELTENHAM: Mira Showers has relaunched its Head Start apprenticeship support programme as part of its commitment to the future of the industry.
The Head Start programme is designed to give lecturers and students quality insights and technical materials to support teaching and learning in all areas of shower installation. Lecturers will receive a series of technical posters and literature.
Other media is provided on USB sticks, including an e-learning module based on Mira’s trade installation DVD; product installation and user guides. There are seven videos covering subjects such as commissioning electric showers, installing enclosures, bar valve installation and commissioning a Mira Discovery with reverse inlets. Published materials will be augmented with those on power showers and electrics later in the year.
Students also receive their own suite of technical literature on mixer showers and a quarterly newsletter focussed on the hot topics of the day. This is backed up by a discount on CIPHE subscription.
It is Mira's hope that forward-thinking installation companies will keep taking on apprentices and training the installers of the future.
