LEICESTER: Employees from heating and pipeline supplier BSS Industrial have successfully completed 350 fundraising activities for Rainbow Trust over the last year.

Staff have cycled, walked and run a combined 756 miles and completed hundreds of other daring feats to raise a grand total of £158 481.19 for the charity which supports families with children facing a life threatening illness.

BSS Industrial held an employee vote to continue to support Rainbow Trust in 2010, making it the fourth year running that they have teamed up to help provide respite care for families in need. BSS Industrial has taken on any challenge (from walking on hot coals, to recycling and cycling from London to Paris) the spirit of which they plan to continue in 2010.

Frank Elkins, managing director of BSS Industrial, said: “Our employees have achieved some fantastic results for Rainbow Trust these past three years and we are thrilled to be able to continue our support of a charity which makes a big difference to the lives of families going through the worst experience imaginable. With such a worthy cause, I’m sure staff across our nationwide locations will continue to go the extra mile to raise further funds.”
