WORCESTERSHIRE: Bradstone, the garden hard landscaping manufacturer, has supplied products for a show garden at the Malvern Spring Gardening Show.

'Water Pirouetting for a Colourful Audience' was designed and built by Maria Luisa Medina, who has been awarded the 2010 Chris Beardshaw Mentoring Scholarship.

The 12-month experiential garden design mentorship is sponsored by Bradstone, an Aggregate Industries business, and supported by the Malvern Spring Gardening Show. Ms Medina used Bradstone materials, including natural slate, to produce her garden which was inspired by the theme of 'Circus'.

She won an RHS bronze medal. She was awarded the 2010 scholarship after her work was assessed by a judging panel comprising Chris Beardshaw, Biddy Bolsover from Bradstone and Richard Webb, council member of the Royal Horticultural Society.

The first big national RHS event of the year, the Malvern Spring Gardening Show attracts in excess of 95000 visitors, consisting of professional landscapers and gardening enthusiasts. It is also showcased by the BBC.
