COVENTRY: Jewson has recently had its major supply contract with the Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) renewed for a further three years.
The contract, which started in January 2011, is a renewal of an established five-year contract from 2006 and is worth in the region of £5m.
Golden Gates Housing Trust is a registered provider of social housing, which provides quality homes and well-invested neighbourhoods.
The major supply contract was first developed through the use of an Office of Government Commerce (OGC) Buying Solutions Framework agreement. Under the partnership, in May 2006, Jewson opened an on-site dedicated store, exclusively for the use of GGHT. This exclusive store provides a bespoke stock range dedicated to meet the Trust’s specific requirements.
Vince Thurlby, Jewson stores and maintenance sales manager comments: “In 2010, the partnership achieved savings of over £140 000. We are extremely pleased that Golden Gates Housing has renewed their contract with us and we look forward to continuing to offer the very best service to the Trust.”
