RADSTOCK: Williamson-Dickie Europe is expanding its Somerset warehousing and distribution facilities to 100 000 sqft.

The additional space will provide a 50% increase in storage capacity allowing greater stock availability and a faster, 24 hour delivery service to its customers.

Announcing the new warehouse extension, the company’s managing director Mark Strange said: “Despite the economic downturn, sales of our products continue to grow and it is our chief priority to ensure that our customers have sufficient stock at all times to satisfy consumer demand.”

The groundwork on the new extension has just commenced and it is planned for the building to be completed by September 2011 ready for the fitting out of special racking and the adoption of the most efficient warehousing operation system, options for which are currently being researched.

The Radstock, Somerset distribution centre already manages well over seven million items each year supplying products to 5000 outlets throughout the UK and Ireland with others now expanding further into Europe and the Middle East.
