A greener future for the UK is in sight, thanks to a new partnership between 4Eco and Rexel.

The agreement with electrical installer Rexel will see 4Eco’s green energy management system – the immerSUN – installed into thousands of properties across the country.

Developed for both commercial and domestic installations, the immerSUN is an innovative surplus PV energy controller, designed with ease of installation and use, cost savings and energy efficiency in mind.

Once installed, the immerSUN will reduce an average household’s energy bill by around £250 per year, by diverting electricity generated by PV panels directly to the immersion heater. Without the controller, the electricity would be exported to the grid, rather than be used to heat water.

Jodi Huggett, director at 4Eco, said: “We’re delighted to announce our new partnership with Rexel. It’s a great development for us and will see the immerSUN installed to more and more properties nationwide.

“We believe that sustainability is everyone’s business, so by embracing the latest green technologies, homeowners can make the most of their self-generated power. We introduced the immerSUN in 2012, and since have supplied over 2,500 units, with homeowners keen to maximise the financial benefits of having solar PV fitted to their property.”

Steven Everard, Rexel’s sales director, said: “The immerSUN controller is a really exciting progression in the sustainability sector. We’re excited to enter into a relationship with 4Eco and hope that together we can further progress the future of sustainability.”
