Cairn Housing Association has appointed Jewson as its preferred supplier in the Highlands. The builders’ merchant offered the Association a partnership based on a professional and personalised service.

For over 30 years, Cairn has served communities throughout Scotland with good-quality affordable homes. To deliver the best possible service to its customers, the Association launched Cairn HomeWorks, a new housing maintenance service which provides reactive repairs for tenants throughout the Highlands.

As part of this new maintenance service, Jewson has entered into a partnership with Cairn to supply the building materials to complete any reactive repair. A dedicated staff member is on hand in Jewson’s Inverness branch, and parking spaces and restocking areas have been set aside to ensure that the Cairn HomeWorks team can access the branch and load their vehicles as quickly as possible.

John Davidson, Cairn’s director for customer services, said: “I was really pleased that customers from our Repairs Focus Group joined us to celebrate our new partnership with Jewson as they’ve played a big part in Cairn HomeWork’s success. We had a tour of the branch and the group could see that Jewson’s attention to detail will ensure that our team can come in, restock their vans and be back out on the road in no time.”

Nicola Lee, Jewson’s public sector sales manager, Scotland, concluded: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Cairn Housing Association and have already established a great working relationship within the team. I’m looking forward to meeting and exceeding the expectations of the contract.”
