Constructionline hosts West Midlands ‘Meet the Buyer’

Published:  10 April, 2013

Construction-related suppliers in the West Midlands are being invited to a free ‘Meet the Buyer’ event hosted by Constructionline, to meet potential clients and find out about upcoming work opportunities in the area.

The event will take place on Thursday 25 April at the Renewal Conference Centre in Solihull, between 8:30am and 3:00pm. Small and medium-sized contractors, consultants and materials suppliers will have the opportunity to meet key procurement decision-makers from public and private organisations, including large contractors and local authorities.

Cheryl Wrench, client relationship manager from Constructionline, said: “During these difficult economic times it’s important for private and public sector clients to find local and reliable contractors that match their own values. In our experience however, it can be hard for contractors to meet face-to-face with clients to discuss work opportunities, which is why we host these events. Establishing relationships between suppliers and clients is important to us – we want to help local construction companies find and secure work and make it easier for clients to find reliable companies.”

Along with giving suppliers the chance to meet prospective buyers, construction suppliers will also have the chance to attend presentations by The Supply Chain School, ConstructED and the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

The event, sponsored by Kier Construction and Bullock Construction, is free and suppliers do not have to be registered with Constructionline to attend. For more information about the event and to register your attendance visit: www.constructionline.co.uk/static/events/wmidlandsMTB.html.
