Chandlers Building Supplies wants Petworth schools to get involved with its £50k Challenge for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The challenge is in honour of Chandlers employee Rob Sadler, a cystic fibrosis sufferer, who will be having a double celebration during 2013. He will mark 30 years of Chandlers employment, as well as his 50th birthday.

To help with the fundraising effort, Chandlers suggested schools could hold a sponsored walk, a sponsored silence, a cake sale, or the children could pay £1 to wear their own clothes – or pyjamas – to school for the day.

Simon Cook, Chandlers’ Petworth branch manager, said: “We are extremely proud supporters of our local community and have been involved with a number of different school projects over the past few years. Everyone at Chandlers has fully got behind the £50k Challenge and we hope that our local schools will as well, helping to ensure that this is something the whole area can be proud of.”
