Hanson products are now all certified with the new mandatory Construction Products Regulation (CPR) CE mark.

The CPR has replaced the Construction Products Directive, and products covered by a harmonised European Standard and manufactured from 1 July 1 2013 need to have the certification mark.

Hanson quality manager Carl Cuthbert said: “The introduction of the new CE mark is part of the continuing efforts of Europe to harmonise standards, so that building products manufactured in all EU countries can compete on a level playing field.

“Many of our materials have been CE marked for several years, so this certification is a visual acknowledgement of our commitment to quality.”

Products must satisfy essential requirements to receive the performance and safety certification, including mechanical resistance and stability, energy economy and heat retention, and sustainable use of natural resources.
