Livis, the UK-based civil engineering and construction specialist, has consolidated its supplier base with a new agreement with Keyline.

Under the deal, the company will now source products and materials through Keyline’s National Rail Office to streamline its procurement processes, simplify the supply chain, and ensure health and safety compliance.

Keyline will supply all civil engineering and specialist rail products and materials for platform, trackside and tunneling projects using its nationwide network of branches. The central coordination will enable a 24/7 solution including Keyline’s emergency response service to provide round-the-clock access to essential resources for all planned and unplanned work.

The agreement will also take advantage of Keyline’s fully compliant team of drivers and fleet of vehicles to meet all Network Rail, Transport for London and Crossrail requirements and deliver the highest levels of health and safety standards. This will ensure the transport function operates inline with Livis’ internal processes that are committed to continually improving and developing its health, safety and environmental performance.

Barry Coulson-Smith from Livis said: “This partnership can only help to reinforce the high standards we set as a business and ultimately help enhance the service we provide to our rail customers. Keyline possesses expertise to meet our exact needs by understanding the operational challenges we face. This means they can deliver a product and service that minimises risk and provides us with total peace of mind.”

Matt Davidson, national rail manager at Keyline, added: “We are unique in the marketplace with the ability to deliver complete solutions, providing an unrivalled range of civil engineering and specialist rail products and materials. As a result, we are working with an increasing number of MAFA, track work, civil engineering and building, Network Rail and London Underground contractors.”
