Ridgeons has secured a place in Cambridge News’ top most 125 influential businesses.

In celebration of its 125th anniversary, Cambridge News hosted a special event to recognise the most influential businesses in and around Cambridge, and Ridgeons was included in the top 15.

Founded in 1911 by Cyril Ridgeon (pictured), the company started trading from the back-room of Mr Ridgeon's home in the city-centre before moving to a 1.5 acre site on Tenison Road in Cambridge. More than 100 years later, the company now has 25 branches throughout East Anglia.

The company says its values remain core to its business strategy, with a strong commitment to being the first choice for customers, suppliers and employees and a valued member of the community.

Ridgeons managing director Angela Rushforth said: "We are honoured to have been named as one of the most influential businesses in Cambridge and to join such a revered group of businesses from a variety of industries."
