Throughout the autumn progress has been continuing at SCA Timber Supply’s new wood processing facility at Melton on Humberside, with production lines starting to come on stream towards achieving full operational capability in spring 2014.
Two shifts on two lines are already operating, with further machinery being installed in the first quarter of next year.
Paul Westgarth joined SCA Timber Supply as operations manager for the Melton site over the summer, bringing with him expertise in both the timber and automotive industries.
Through the autumn, the following additional senior appointments have been made:
Luke Watson – Production supervisor
Paul Shepherd – Production supervisor
Nick Kavanagh-Smith – Production planner
Mark Lundgren – Maintenance technician
Chris Hostad – Warehouse supervisor.
By the end of 2014, SCA Timber Supply will have created 42 new jobs through the start-up of the Melton site.
