Wood-based panel manufacturer Egger has significantly expanded its OSB production capacity to 1m m3 per annum.

“We are committed to supplying the Timber Frame sector in the UK,” said specification manager Dan Clarke. “Through significant investment in our OSB production capabilities, we aim to ensure long-term supply to the UK market.

“Because we have state-of-the-art Conti-Roll production systems, we are able to manufacture high-quality OSB boards where the strand orientation can be optimised to produce panels that are stronger and more stable, to help reduce any movement caused by moisture in the environment, resulting in fewer issues on site.

“If required, we also have the technology to supply our customers with larger OSB panels which are over 6m in length. When the boards are used as Sips panels they can significantly reduce installation times.”

EGGER has two dedicated distribution hubs based in Perth, Scotland and the Port of Seaham in north-east England, both allowing mixed load distribution.
