Andrew Weiss has been named the new President of the Rainy Day Trust (RDT) at a recent Annual General Meeting.

Mr Weiss, from Monument Tools and Weiss Marketing, took over from Akzo Nobel's Philip Duncan who stepped down after serving on the Board for the past 10 years. He was presented with a crystal wine decanter in recognition of his loyalty, support and leadership.

The Trust also expressed its sincere thanks to Paul Wooley from bira, who recently resigned from the Board, as well as Leigh Baildham, who joined following the merger with the Pottery & Glass Trades Benevolent Fund in 2012.

Three new members were voted on as Trustees at the AGM including Pam Plant from IHA, Caroline Gordon of Kitchen Kapers, and Akzo Nobel's Jason Hopkins.
