VIRGINIA WATER: Police are urging people to keep construction vehicles secure after the theft of a forklift truck from a building site.
VIRGINIA WATER: Police are urging people to keep construction vehicles secure after the theft of a forklift truck from a building site.
The forklift was spotted by police being driven slowly and causing a build up of traffic. The driver stopped the vehicle, jumped out and ran away from the area, and has yet to be apprehended.
The suspect is described as a man, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall, slim build, dark hair and was wearing a dark fleece and blue jeans.
The vehicle had been stolen from a nearby building site in Virginia Water and the suspect had used the forklift truck to force open the gates to the site while making his escape.
