Carl Kammerling International has been supporting Pwllheli Community First Responders since its inception, and their recent donation has enabled the local team to purchase an AED defibrillator.

First Responders are made up of volunteers who attend appropriate 999 calls and give first hand emergency care to people in their own community. The purchase of this life-saving equipment is extremely important to the Pwllheli team who are called out to assist about four times a week in their local area. The Pwllheli team are one of three operating in the Lynn peninsula, and they make up a percentage of the 2000 plus Community First Responders in Wales.

Helen Halpin, chairman at Carl Kammerling International, said: “Our commitment to assisting the Community First Responders in their provision of life-saving treatment for its patients, making their tremendously difficult job easier, is integral to our company ethos and is very much entrenched in our overall corporate strategy. These trained volunteers give up their spare time in a commitment to saving lives, and we are delighted to do our bit to help serve the local community.”
