Baxi has boosted its senior team of industry experts with the appointment of Jon Phillips as head of product management.

Mr Phillips brings a wealth of experience to his new appointment. He has worked at Baxi since 2013, originally as the head of strategic planning, which involved supporting the senior directors in the development, implementation and communication of the UK strategy.

Previously, Mr Phillips worked at global glass manufacturer Pilkington, for some 20 years, starting off in manufacturing before moving into marketing, where he quickly progressed to marketing director. During this time, he oversaw all global product management, marketing communications and implementation of commercial systems. He also completed a secondment in Tokyo following the acquisition of Pilkington by Nippon Sheet Glass.

Commenting on his new appointment, Mr Phillips said: “Since joining Baxi just last year, I’ve already witnessed some fantastic new product developments and huge commercial successes.

“I’ve come into the role at an exciting time when so many parts of the business are growing and developing, for example the re-brand of Baxi Customer Support and Baxi Genuine Parts, and the launch of our new EcoBlue boiler range. It really is an exciting time at Baxi and I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to really drive the new product development process and continue to bring even bigger and better innovations to market as we look to the future."

In Mr Phillips’s new role he will be responsible for the development of products and propositions for all sectors in the residential boiler marketplace, including micro CHP and low to zero carbon technologies.
