Gledhill has opened its largest ever depot at Luton. The company's investment in the new 6,000 sq ft 'depot of excellence' follows increasing market demand.

Jason Hobson, managing director at Gledhill, explained: “Our commitment to service is paramount, and our new Luton depot is ideally located for access to the transport network which ensures faster deliveries and ease of collection.

“Indeed, in the short time since our Luton site opened, we have already experienced a considerable increase in collection levels and, naturally, with the increased size of the premises, we have extended our manufacturing capabilities for both standard and bespoke copper cylinder production to meet demand.”

The new depot, which is located just off Junction 10 of the M1, has an increased stock holding capacity and a meeting room and showroom/training facility.

The manager of the Hemel Hempstead depot, Piero Ruggiero, has moved across to the Luton site with his team to manage the new depot and drive further growth.

Mr Ruggiero added: “As a family-run business, Gledhill understands the importance of supporting installers with a fast turnaround on orders and excellent service levels because many of those customers are family businesses too.

“At Luton, they will find the same experienced team, manufacturing capabilities and wide ranging stock along with increased capacity and a more convenient location to help them complete projects on site quicker and more efficiently than ever before.”
