On 29 September a team of four from Saniflo UK will cycle approximately 220 miles from the company’s UK headquarters in South Ruislip to the firm’s new global headquarters in Paris in a bid to raise £4,000 for Cancer Research UK.

The team, comprising managing director Tim Pestell, southern regional sales manager Martyn Andreoli, plus sales team members Paul Coleman and Astley Sharples, will be supported by Saniflo’s technical expert John Jarmulowicz, who will drive the van carrying everything the team might need.

It is estimated that the ride and the return van journey will take four days, and according to Mr Pestell, everyone’s looking forward to the challenge. He said: “As people know, Cancer Research UK is a charity very close to our hearts. Former Saniflo managing director Paul Newson passed away in January this year after a seven-year battle with cancer. We would like to raise funds for this hugely important cause in one big way at least once a year.

“This year we’ve chosen to cycle to Saniflo’s global headquarters in Paris and we’ve been preparing for a few months now. Some of us are more prepared than others, so it’ll certainly be interesting to see how we fare together.”

Last year a team of 10 from Saniflo UK walked to the top of the UK’s highest mountain Ben Nevis in Scotland to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. The team completed the 1,344-metre/10 mile hike in six hours and raised £10,000 for the charity, beating their original target of £5,000.

This year the team hopes to raise £4,000. If you would like to donate, you can visit the company’s Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/Saniflo2014.
