Beesley & Fildes, the independent builder’s merchant, has appointed Stuart White to the post of Operations Manager, with responsibility for two branches, and for compliance across the company.

White joins Beesley & Fildes with a 15 year track record in sales and operations management. He will be one of the team of Operations Managers who support and oversee branches across the North West, with direct responsibility for the company’s two biggest branches: Huyton and Widnes.

As well as his operational responsibilities, White is also Beesley & Fildes’ Compliance Officer. He will oversee all external regulatory requirements, as well as all internal policies, procedures and compliance needs. White will work with internal department experts as well as specialised consultants, to ensure Beesley and Fildes is up to speed and compliant in every way.

White said: “I have had considerable experience in both operations and sales for many years. With previous experience working for an independent merchant, national merchant and a manufacturer, this has given me great exposure to the whole supply chain, from start to finish.

“This means I can offer the branch managers support using my experiences to see opportunities and challenges from a number of angles. In the same way, I’m also very aware of customer needs from different points of view and look forward to being able to offer even greater levels of customer service by using this varied background ”
