Our Client is one of the UK’s leading Independent Distributors of Construction Materials led by a dynamic Senior Management Team and are undertaking a period of expansion due to success.

As a result of their exciting growth plans our Client are seeking to recruit a Branch Manager who is experienced in the Construction Material Distribution Sector and are driven by success.

You will be responsible for managing and developing the operation which specialises in the distribution of Construction Materials to a customer base including Contractors, Sub Contractors, Developers, Fit Out Contractors,  2nd Line Builders Merchants, Specialist Merchants, Specialist Distributors and Stockholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The role of a Branch Manager is to achieve outstanding performance in your branch, this includes both driving customer sales and developing brilliant people.
  • Ensuring your customers receive brilliant customer service
  • Managing your team well to get the best out of each person
  • Building on branch sales and profits
  • Having overall accountability for making sure that the branch maintains high operating standards
  • Generating new customer opportunities
  • Training your team, and ensuring their product knowledge is relevant and up to date
  • Managing your stock effectively and properly utilising your vehicles
  • Ensuring all mandatory training is completed and our branch is a safe place to work
  • Manging and co-ordinating the branch stocktake twice a year
  • Any other duties as required

The Candidate:

  • Experience of working in a similar environment, ideally a Construction Materials  distribution company or Builder’s Merchants
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Strong relationship building skills, with experience of dealing with a wide range of customers


Location: West London

Salary: Negotiable DOE, Very Attractive OTE, Very High earning potential with High Value Accelerator Bonuses
