Our Client has over 25 years' experience in supplying building products, materials and supplies to the Kent area. As a result of their exciting growth plans our Client are seeking to recruit a Branch Manager to run a busy single depot servicing local builders and contractors who is experienced in the Construction Material Distribution Sector and are driven by success.

You will be responsible for managing and developing the operation which specialises in the distribution of Construction Materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The role of a Branch Manager is to achieve outstanding performance in your branch, this includes both driving customer sales and developing brilliant people.

  • Ensuring your customers receive brilliant customer service
  • Managing your team well to get the best out of each person
  • Building on branch sales and profits
  • Having overall accountability for making sure that the branch maintains high operating standards
  • Generating new customer opportunities
  • Training your team, and ensuring their product knowledge is relevant and up to date
  • Managing your stock effectively and properly utilising your vehicles
  • Ensuring all mandatory training is completed and our branch is a safe place to work
  • Managing and coordinating the branch stock take twice a year
  • Any other duties as required

Hours 7am to 17.30 am 5 days a week.

The Candidate:

  • Experience of working in a similar environment, ideally a or Builder’s Merchants
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Strong relationship building skills, with experience of dealing with a wide range of customers
