Suppliers were able to showcase their product ranges and expert knowledge to customers and employees.

Collier & Catchpole, an independent builders' merchant covering Essex and Suffolk, hosted its first Colliers Summer Bonanza Trade Show at its Colchester depot last Friday (23 June).  

Customers were invited to meet the team and discuss projects with over 60 industry experts, covering everything from bricks and blocks to timber and drainage.

Guests enjoyed a retro Pac-man machine, driving simulator games and entered a competition to win a 50-inch Samsung TV. Wood-fired pizzas, burgers and hot dogs were cooked fresh on-site, serving 280 between 12pm and 7pm.

The first 50 visitors received a gift bag full of goodies including Pavestone mugs and TuffStuff workwear socks.

Thirty-two leading building materials brands were present including Ox Tools, Haemmerlin, Pavestone, Toolbank, Azpects, ACO Group, TuffStuff Workwear and Brett Martin.

Velux showcased their show trailer, an example loft space with installed Velux skylights and Rockwool held live fire/water insulation demos in its 10m long mobile space.

Millboard's exhibition showroom allowed customers to see how the decking will look as a finished project and provided a nice shelter from the heat.
