HAYES: Mark Timmons has been appointed to the new position of Production Director for Eurocell.
Mr Timmons will be responsible for developing and implementing the manufacturing strategy, which is aimed at further strengthening Eurocell’s position as the UK’s leading PVC-U profile systems business.
Mr Timmons has extensive experience of the chemicals, food and building products sectors, with International Paint (part of Courtaulds), Walkers Pepsico and Tarmac Concrete Products divisions. Most recently, he was Industrial Director for Redland roof tiles, part of the global Monier Group.
His responsibilities at Eurocell will cover PVC-U extrusion, conservatory roof and composite door manufacturing, as well as production planning and tool room operations. Mr Timmons’ experience of managing multiple production sites will be key to coordinating the efficient operation of these functions within Eurocell.
“There are opportunities to improve efficiency which will directly enhance customer service levels further, especially as more customers realise the benefits of partnering with Eurocell,” said Mr Timmons. “I’m looking forward to the challenges of my new role and helping Eurocell to continue delivering excellent quality, service and value.”
Patrick Bateman, chief executive officer of Eurocell, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Mark to the organisation as he will be a key addition to the team. His broad manufacturing experience will prove invaluable in bringing new and improved ways of working to the production function.”
Mr Timmons is a chemical engineering graduate and it is therefore appropriate that he should join Eurocell, as it is part of the Tessenderlo Group, an international and diversified chemicals operation with more than 100 sites in 20 countries worldwide.
