Following a review of how its sales team operates, Flexseal has announced the appointments of Steve Rodgerson and David Millward to two newly created roles of Key Account Manager.

Until now the sales team split its activities by geographical location. Flexseal is introducing two new national roles, Key Account Manager – Civils, and Key Account Manager – Independents, both reporting to Ricky Hasprey, National Sales Manager.

The Key Account Manager – Civils role, has been filled by the promotion of Rodgerson, who will manage and develop Flexseal’s key national civils and drainage merchant partners. Rodgerson has worked as North East and Yorkshire Area Sales Manager for Flexseal for the past 3 ½ years, aftert building a career in the national merchants sector.

The Key Account Manager – Independents role, taken up by Millward, will focus on Flexseal’s buying group deals and the independent merchant businesses. Millward is well respected in the merchant industry and has a wealth of experience, with almost 20 years working at Contract Supplies before moving on to roles with Keyline, Civils & Lintels, and, most recently, to that of Regional Manager of the BMF.

These two new roles will work closely with Flexseal’s Area Sales Managers and the support teams at HQ to provide support to its merchant partners.

Commenting on the changes, Ricky Hasprey, National Sales Manager, said: “We’ve done a great job in supporting our merchant network in some really challenging building materials environments, but just like most other suppliers we need to make changes to ensure the service our sales team provides is relevant and adding value to the markets wants and needs right now, and has longevity for the future.

“We love our merchant partners, both Nationals and Independents, and these investments demonstrate our commitment to helping them grow their business.”
