General Sales Assistant duties:

  • Assisting customers and helping with enquires 
  • Taking customer orders and quotes
  • Maintaining high standards of stock 
  • Dealing with any telephone queries effectively and communicating with customers and colleagues
  • Other sales related duties
  • Ordering goods

General Sales Assistant skills:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good command of the English language (written and spoken)
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Previous experience in a similar industry/sector is desirable
