WALSALL: Builder H Tomlinson & Son has gone into administration. The Walsall firm traces it history back to 1902 when bricklayer Henry Tomlison set up the building business and employed around 50 staff.
The company, until it's collapse thiS week, worked in partnership with Interserve and Wates Construction, carrying out refurbishment works to schools across the West Midlands, as well as work for health authorities and councils.
It recently expanded into emergency 24-hour home repairs and cleaning. The last of the founding family Claude Tomlinson retired in 2008 and sold the business to Richard Edis, who has over 20 years experience in the construction industry, with firms like Bovis and Wimpey.
