NORTHAMPTON: Hevey Building Supplies has acquired Craftsman Joinery, Northampton's leading supplier of bespoke joinery products and services.

The acquisition will complement Hevey's existing product offering as well as consolidating the market position of the merchant, which celebrates its 10th anniversary next year.

Neil Hemmington, Hevey’s director, said: “With our two existing timber outlets in Northampton and Kettering, the purchase of Craftsman complements the services we can offer our customers.

“Like us, Craftsman maintained a commitment to providing excellent customer service, and this will continue.”

Through the acquisition, Craftsman Joinery has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hevey Building Supplies.

The new division will be based on Bunting Road in Kingsthorpe.

Hevey has also ensured the skills and experience of Craftsman were not lost, and has retained its two former directors, Keith Wade and Des Elliott, who will play integral roles in the future of the new company.

“Customers who use our timber outlets will now recognise we are a one-stop shop for all their timber and building supplies. There will be no major changes to the everyday running of Craftsman Joinery,” Mr Hemmington said.
