Representatives from across the independent merchanting sector took part in the 2023 NMBS Golf Day last week.

The sun made a day-long appearance for the annual event, which this year took place at Woburn Golf and Country Club, Buckinghamshire.

More than 90 players drawn from across the NMBS' 1,000-plus merchant members and 450 building industry supply partners turned out on the day for a round on The Marquess Course.

Named after the then Marquess of Tavistock and referred to as the 'Jewel in the Crown', the course is set within 200 acres of mixed woodland. It overlaps the county boundary dividing Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire and presents a variety of rolling and undulating terrain.

The NMBS day featured a shotgun start, enabling all players to tee off and finish at a similar time. At the finish, prizes were awarded including:

3rd place: Jack Vincent – Hanson Cement
