All IBC Supplier Partners will be entered into a draw – to be shown on social media – which will see 24 chosen at random and matched with the 24 teams participating in the UEFA championship.

IBC Buying Group is kicking off a summer of fun with its latest challenge centred around the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship, all in the name of charity.

To celebrate the arrival of the long-awaited Euro 2020 tournament, IBC Buying Group has pledged to set up its own Supplier tournament to run alongside the event. Before the tournament begins, all IBC Supplier Partners will be entered into a draw – to be shown on social media – which will see 24 of its suppliers chosen at random and matched with the 24 teams participating in the UEFA championship.

The Euro 2020 tournament kicks off on 11 June with the first of the group stage matches, before concluding with what we hope will be a nail-biting final on Sunday 11 July.

After the final is played, the supplier who was matched with the championship-winning team will receive a £500 prize from IBC, to be donated to a local charity of their choice.

Along the way, IBC and the 24 lucky suppliers will be taking part in a series of fun and engaging social media posts and post-match interviews and videos, while also giving each supplier the chance to raise awareness of the vital work of their chosen charities. This will all be posted for everyone to see and enjoy on IBC Buying Group’s LinkedIn and social media channels.

Dave Robertson, Joint Managing Director of IBC Buying Group, said: “After a very long year without much football, we wanted to celebrate its return and do something that lots of people could get involved with. It made sense to match up 24 of our industry leading approved suppliers with the best football teams in Europe, especially with a £500 charity donation available for the ‘winning’ supplier. We hope it will add an extra level of enjoyment to what should be a terrific summer of football.”

Paul Read, Joint Managing Director of IBC Buying Group, said: “Football is more than a sport – it’s a national pastime, and at IBC we’re proud of being ‘more than a buying group’ to our members. We provide marketing and business support and bring them together with leading material suppliers, helping everyone achieve even more together. The Euro 2020 tournament is a great opportunity for us to give something back to our valued suppliers with a donation to the chosen charity of the winning team, while also having some competitive banter on social media.”

To find out which suppliers have been matched with one of the 24 football teams, keep a look out for the live draw video, which will be posted on IBC’s Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn channels – simply search for and follow @IBCBuyingGroup.
