Our Client is one of the UK’s largest distributor of Timber & Timber Products, including hardwoods and panel products. They are a recognized supplier to a broad range of customers including Independent and National Merchants, Contractors, Shopfitters & Developers.

The Role as Internal Sales Executive

As an Internal Sales Executive you will be proactively selling Timber & Timber Products to both existing customers and new. You will liaise with suppliers and negotiate prices with clients on behalf of the company.

You’ll be working in a modern office alongside your friendly team, with the opportunity to be able to work from home from time. You and your team will continually seek out new products and look for better ways to serve your customers.

Key Responsibilities of the role of Internal Sales Executive

  • To develop both new & existing clients
  • Proactively identify opportunities to increase your client base
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers
  • Attend industry events as required
  • Stay updated on current market and industry trends, competitor activity, and leading customer strategies
  • Quoting and costing customer requirements
  • Ensure high customer service standards are met at all
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties that may arise

Essential Skills and Experience Required as Internal Sales Executive

  • Proven experience in construction products sales ideally Timber.
  • Customer service experience is a sales environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to confidently communicate over the phone and face to face
  • Outstanding listening and verbal communication skills, with the ability to identify customer issues or requests.
  • Ability to thrive in a sales environment
  • Motivated and driven to achieve Sales targets
  • Strong IT skills
