ALNWICK: Jewson, the UK’s leading supplier of sustainable timber and building materials, organised a yard sale at its Alnwick branch for its trade and retail customers.
The yard sale, which was organised by Andy Blake the Branch Manager, was set up as a bargain sale to say thank you to its trade and retail customers for their support.
Over 200 customers attended the yard sale and managed to get their hands on big bargains – with some products, including fence posts and various tools, discounted by up to 90 per cent. In addition, offers were available on the branch’s Big 4 products, including insulation, cement and plasterboard.
Throughout the yard sale customers were also able to buy cakes, with all money raised donated to the children’s charity Barnardos, which Jewson supports as part of its ‘together’ charity programme.
Andy Blake, branch manager of Jewson in Alnwick comments on the day: “We were extremely pleased with the amount of customers that turned up on the day – we even had customers queuing up outside from 7.30am! We are pleased to announce that as well as delivering bargains, we also raised £81.00 for our charity partner Barnardo’s. We are hoping that the yard sale will become a yearly event, that will be enjoyed by all our trade and retail customers.”
