Lake District event due in July delayed for a year

The Builders Merchant Federation’s MasterMerchant 2020 has been postponed for a year because of Coronavirus.

The competition, which was scheduled to take place from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 July 2020, has now been put back a year between Friday 9 and Sunday 11 July 2021.

The YHA at Ambleside, in the Lake District where the event was due to be held has decided to close its doors until the end of July meaning accommodating all participants would have been impossible.

A statement from the BMF said: “We apologise for any inconvenience and sincerely hope that you will be able to join us on the rescheduled date of Friday 9 July 2021, when hopefully the current situation will be a distant memory and we will all be ready for some fresh air.”

Teams that signed up to take part are asked to let the BMF know if they are available on the rescheduled date and if you still wish to enter your team please email: june.upton@bmf.org.uk

All payments for the event made will be deferred until 2021.
