NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE: Heating systems company Myson is investing £30 000 in the development of a new centre to offer free training to installers. Working with CES North East, Myson is setting up the centre at its head office in Gateshead.

Installers from across the UK will be given hands-on instruction on fitting such products as Myson Floortec Underfloor Heating and Myson's range of convectors.

The training centre will also be set up to allow installers the opportunity to learn more about using the products with sustainable technology, including airsource heat pumps.

Barry Lynch, group head of products at Myson, said: "Our products are fit by a wide base of installers across the UK and this new training centre is an investment in their skills.

"We want the end-users to receive a well-fitted product, leading to customer satisfaction, which reflects well on the installer and, in turn, on Myson and its products. This will also provide opportunities for first-hand feedback on our products."
