Peter Buttle, chairman of builders' merchant Buttle's, has spoken of his "shock and sadness" at the death of Kevin Middleton, who died recently following a short illness.
Mr Middleton was chief executive of Grafton Merchanting GB until 2011, before joining Buttle's as joint managing director in 2012.
"Kevin was for many years a managing director within the Grafton Group," said Mr Buttle. "Under his leadership the group's UK interests grew to become one of the largest builders' merchants in the UK. For the past two years Kevin had been working with Buttle’s, the South East-based independent builders' merchant. Our condolences go to all his family and friends."
