Following in steps of its roofing supplies site, online merchant Roofing Megastore has launched a home improvement website: DIY Megastore.

Having developed expertise in roofing, Gian-Carlo Grossi, founder of Roofing Megastore, is now taking his award-winning retail model into the larger DIY space.

He explained: “With over 1.6 million annual users and in excess of 100,000 customers, we’ve established our supportive retail model meets the evolving needs of today’s customers.

“We are now striving to bring the same innovations and fresh approach to the larger home improvement market that has been largely dominated by archaic retailers for decades.”

DIY has been on a steady rise over the last few years thanks to the compounding effect of the global pandemic and the cost of living crisis. With over 100,000 customers already using its roofing website, the brand saw an opportunity to make home improvement a more accessible, easier choice for struggling homeowners.

Currently, DIY Megastore boasts over 40,000 unique products, covering everything from hanging shelves to complete kitchen refurbs, and with suppliers including DeWalt, KitchenKit, Towelrads, and LPD Doors.

Striving to keep things simple from day one (and to save DIYers time), the site uses a three-tier cost delivery system that means that there is only one single delivery charge. Customers also benefits from the customer service experitsed built by the company with its first website, with an experienced back-of-house team ready to answer queries.

Also being transitioned over are the on-page calculators across the company's core range of goods, which help customers ensure they always have the right number of tiles, enough gravel for their driveway project, or the ideal size can of paint to cover their walls.

The company plans to phase in dedicated project builders in the near future, to help homeowners re-design entire rooms with just a few clicks.
