Are you a driven & high calibre, specification sales professional with experience in gaining usage of building envelope products via Mid to High End Contractors, Developers, Leading Architects and Local Authorities Nationwide?

If so, we are working with one of the world’s leading designers and Manufacturers of Passive Fire Protection Products for the UK and Overseas markets whose growth is attributable to over 40 years of innovation, intelligent manufacturing and technical expertise.

They are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Specification Specialist to join their team in this newly created role due to rapid growth and expansion with responsibility for gaining usage of their products and solutions within the MID TO HIGH END RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL SECTORS.

The Role

The primary purpose of your role will be to develop a specification project pipeline via proactive engagement with targeted architectural practices within London Architects.

Your main duties will include:

  • Initiate contact and develop senior level relationships with key stakeholders
  • Secure project specification by utilizing all available resources to gain meetings / specifications. IE: Barbour ABI / LinkedIn / existing contacts etc.
  • World class delivery of CPD presentations
  • Excellent technical product knowledge
  • Specification bank update to Sales Director at monthly intervals
  • Work with external sales team to ensure specifications convert to orders
  • Work with National BDM to ensure ‘must win’ projects are specified
  • Work with Brickwork BDM to ensure Masonry product portfolio is specified where applicable

Key Performance Indicators

Generation of specifications which lead to transactional sales

Key Experiences and Qualifications:

  • Existing framework of established stakeholders at senior level
  • Familiarity with the façade industry would be beneficial
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Able to demonstrate securing an iconic specification
  • Able to demonstrate aptitude for selling a technical product
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent time management
