Are you an accomplished Sales Director working in the Construction Product Sector in the UK?

If so, we are retained by a very successful and progressive Distributor of Construction Products who, due to expansion, are seeking to recruit a Sales Director to lead and develop their sales team along with assisting in delivering their exciting future growth plans in the UK.

The Company

Our Client is part of a Major Group with an annual turnover of circa £75m with strategic operations based throughout the UK, who have exciting future development plans to dramatically grow their business supplying the UK Construction Sector. 

Our Client has an existing customer base consisting of Builders Merchants, Distributors, Main Contractors and Sub Contractors along with Housebuilders, Developers and Specialist Users which they are looking to maintain and develop by the introduction of new product ranges to further enhance their offering.

The Role

As Sales Director you will be responsible for the leadership and development of the Sales Team along with formulating and delivering growth plans by identifying and delivering new business opportunities along with developing the existing customer base.

  • Leading and Developing the Sales Team
  • Identifying and delivering New Business Opportunities
  • Formulation and Development of Sales & Marketing Strategies
  • Negotiate Major Supply Agreements
  • Lead all negotiations with Buying Groups etc.
  • Assist in New Product Development and Market Launch
  • Market Analysis
  • Maintain communication with the Managing Director and other Stakeholders.
  • Formulate and deliver Sales Targets and Strategies

The Candidate

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record as a Sales Director in the Construction Products Sector along with an in-depth knowledge of Construction Product Distribution in the UK.

  • Willing to travel throughout the UK with nights away if required
