Due to expansion our client is seeking a Sales Executive to join their team in Bedfordshire.

Ideally you would be experienced selling Timber / Timber Products or have worked in the Builders / Timber Merchant sector it would also be an advantage to have a good understanding of the construction sector. This position is for an experienced individual that has the ability to establish & build relationships and is looking to join a company that offers fantastic career progression.

Reporting to: Sales Director    

The company is renowned for their high-quality products and is a trusted supply chain partner in the UK construction and merchant sector. As Sales Executive you will be working with the sales team and will be promoting the companies Timber & Timber Products to exciting sectors including Construction Companies, Developers, House Builders and Merchants.

Key Responsibilities as Sales Executive

  • To develop both new & existing clients
  • Negotiate purchasing prices with suppliers.
  • Quoting and costing customer requirements  
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements, research accounts, identify key players.
  • Maintain & expand your database.
  • Seeking out active sites and making the necessary contacts and winning enquiries & ultimately the business

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required as Sales Executive

  • Proven experience in sales / sales admin role
  • Experience within the building supply trade essential.  
  • General Construction knowledge essential & knowledge of the Construction sector
  • Self motivated with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Confident and professional telephone manner  
  • Effective communication skills
  • Customer focused with sound commercial skills.
  • Good IT skills & PC literate and experience with Microsoft Outlook


Location/Area: Bedfordshire
