Job Overview

We are looking for a new Sales Manager to join their team.

In this role, you will build and own your sales pipeline. You will focus on finding new customers initially with a view to growing those accounts organically over time.

General Purpose of the Role:

  • Promote the solution through personalised presentations, and meetings, directly to enterprises - in-person or on digital platforms.
  • Manage prospect and customer lifecycle from sourcing to closing and nurturing.
  • Do both outbound and inbound activities.
  • Define, measure, and track relevant monthly metrics against goals
  • Continuously invest in learning and obtaining deep product knowledge so that their solutions translate into customer business value.
  • Work closely with product management to provide market feedback and recommendations
  • Work with the Customer On boarding team to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Cooperate with Marketing on customer communication messages and methodologies.
  • Learn about and understand competitors and rules of the ecosystem.
  • Track all activities and results in the CRM system
  • Own your customer. This means that the Sales Representative is always responsible for their customers no matter where they are on the customer journey.
  • Attend and assist with the preparation of customer events hosted by the business or its partners.
  • Attend networking events, conferences or other events with selling potential
  • Availability to travel is essential.

Professional Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in proactively hunting new business opportunities within the Furniture and Commercial Interior Fit-Out projects where the emphasis has been heavily biased towards Furniture / FF&E.
  • Understanding of the commercial parameters.
  • Comprehensive understanding of FF&E, cable management, Ergonomics/Ergonometric (as known as Human Factors) and sustainability
  • Ability to make commercial decisions independently once established.
  • Minimum 2 - 5-year Furniture OR very closely aligned interior furnishings sales experience. – i.e. Fabric, Textiles, Upholstery, Wallpaper, Wall coverings etc alternatively SaaS experience selling into a variety of Construction Manufacturing clients would be considered.
  • Ability to manage clients at all levels.
  • Established and proven client base and professional contacts with Key Manufacturers, Dealerships, Fit-Out Companies are ABSOLUTLEY ESSENTIAL PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO DISCUSS THE ABOVES AREAS IN GREATER DETAIL AT INTERVIEW.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Candidates must have a background in furniture or closely associated interior products as long as the right level of drive and commitment is shown.
  • Ability to manage own area; introduce tailored customer solutions to drive sales forward.
  • Proven track record and a proactive approach to Solution Selling and having strong existing relationships with the required route to market in London
  • Competent IT skills are required – MS Office, Word, Outlook, or GSuite / Gmail equivalent, and CRM etc
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work under pressure with an excellent attention to detail
  • Sound commercial acumen and an ability to communicate with colleagues and customers to assist the closing of sales opportunities.
  • A high degree of professionalism and an exceptional understanding of the specification design process with the ability to communicate at each of these levels where necessary.
  • Ability to prioritise work according to demand and work alongside colleagues internally and externally to deliver customer service excellence.
