KIDDERMINSTER: In response to a growing demand for its range of roof tiles, Sandtoft has opened a new distribution centre in the West Midlands.

Located in Hartlebury, Kidderminster, Sandtoft’s West Midlands Centre is situated on a 95–acre site that is also home to Wienerberger’s largest UK brick factory.

A wide range of products are available, including the company’s ‘New Generation’ clay roof tiles, which are claimed to significantly reduce the cost of using natural materials. New dry-fix roofing systems such as the Koraflex flashing system and Koratech vapour permeable membranes will also be available.

Sandtoft’s southern regional director Mike Morley said: “Demand for our roof tiles, in particular our New Generation range, has risen dramatically over the last year across the Midlands.

“This new depot is centrally located and has excellent transport links. With a stock profile which matches the construction activity in the region, Sandtoft can ensure that customers and specifiers will receive the highest levels of service and the right product at the right time.”

Opening just nine months after the launch of its Southern Distribution Centre in Ewhurst, the West Midlands depot is an important addition to Sandtoft’s distribution network. With six sites strategically located across the UK, the manufacturer offers  national reach, enabling it to meet any regional requirement, Mr Morley explained.
