Our Client is the pre-cast building product industry’s go-to provider for complete structural solutions. They partner with their Clients to provide comprehensive solutions that cater to all of their product needs.

From balconies to columns and lifting to fixing systems, our Client has the ability to manufacturer their products at their state-of-the-art site and provide solutions from design through to specification.

The Opportunity

As part of our Client’s growth plans, they are looking for an individual who is a driven and talented Technical Sales Manager who will be responsible for managing an extensive existing customer base along with proactively seeking out new opportunities for the usage of their products.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to: The Sales Director

As a Technical Sales Manager, you will formulate and execute a plan to achieve short and long-term goals whilst continuously improving engagement with existing customers along with seeking new business opportunities.

Your main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Gaining a full understanding of customer requirements
  • Researching new areas of supply opportunities
  • Working with existing and new customers in the implementation of our Client’s products into their product and service offerings
  •  Work alongside our Client’s Technical Team in the development of new products to meet customer requirements
  • Ensure you are totally up to date with new products and manufacturing processes which could offer opportunities for supply

The Candidate

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to be self-motivated with the desire to achieve goals, tackle challenges head on, innovate and move at a fast pace.

Knowledge of the construction product supply sector will be beneficial along with an understanding of the construction process.

You will also be required to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in negotiating major supply agreements
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to influence at senior management level
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Experience in interpreting technical product requirements
  • Have a proven track record in Manufacturing sales
  • Experience in identifying, reporting and managing any potential supply issues or specific requirements
