As part of the relaunch its DIFM (Do It For Me) offering, Wickes has unveiled a new flooring installation service supported by its network of approved installers.

With an already established Design & Installation offering for Showroom Kitchens, Bathrooms and Home Offices, the retailer is now providing customers with a standalone tiling service and a flooring installation offering.

All services are wrapped up under the umbrella of Wickes Design & Installation Services, which offer a two-year workmanship guarantee from the company’s Approved Installer Network.

For customers, the journey starts with a design appointment that can be booked online or in any of the retailer's 230+ stores nationwide. Wickes’ Design Consultants will discuss their ideas for their tiling or flooring project and provide an itemised quote for the recommended products and installation service. Ahead of the project, a Wickes-approved Installer will complete a full technical survey at the home to ensure everything is covered.

Fraser Longden, Chief Operating Officer at Wickes, commented: “After kitchen and bathrooms, the most requested rooms in the home for tradespeople to help with are halls and living spaces. Most consumers are happy to try painting and other light DIY jobs, but fitting tiles and flooring is a different skill and if it goes wrong then it can mean more time and money spent.

“Offering these new standalone services showcases our proposition and expertise to support end-to-end room solutions, responding to the growing demand for those looking for the complete package with one company. Relaunching our Design & Installation Services, with the tile and flooring options, provides more ways for us to help the nation feel houseproud and we’re confident that we’ll continue to add more services to meet the growing demand.”
