New general manager appointment at Ridgeons Forest Product

CAMBRIDGE: The Ridgeon Group, one of the UK’s leading independent timber and builders’ merchants has announced the appointment of Jeremy (Jem) Slee, as the new general manager of its specialist timber division, Ridgeons Forest Products.

Based at Ridgeons’ timber processing plant in Herringswell, Mr Slee brings a wealth of industry experience to his appointment and will be instrumental in driving the growth of the Group’s timber division, while expanding relationships with existing clients.

In his new role, Mr Slee is responsible for managing all aspects of the timber operation; from sourcing and importing, to processing and distribution, supplying both Ridgeons’ merchant branches and external customers direct.  Mr Slee is also responsible for leading the Ridgeons’ Forest Products external sales team, which covers a geographical area that stretches from Essex to South Yorkshire.

Mr Slee brings with him a vast amalgamation of experience, gained working in similar positions for renowned national organisations including Jewson, B&Q and most recently Taylor Wimpey.
