Covers Timber and Builders Merchants with a depot on the Quarry Lane Estate, Chichester, is getting into the Mary Berry spirit of things in aid of charity.
Staff at the Chichester depot will be taking part in The Great Covers Bake Off competition to raise much-needed funds for local hospice charity St. Wilfred’s Hospice, who provide specialist end of life care services to local people.
The team at Covers will be entering their baked goods into a competition before they go on sale, on Monday 20 October, in-store at Covers Home Ideas.
What’s more, the competition will be judged by St. Wilfred’s patron and actor, Christopher Timothy, who is best known for playing James Herriot in All Creatures Great and Small. The judging and announcement of the winner will take place at 10.00am.
The public are invited to attend the Great Covers Bake Off, watch the judging and then treat themselves to some delicious cakes, to raise money for this worthy cause.
