Gibbs & Dandy has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the up-and-coming Lynn Ladies FC.

The team is currently top of the 2nd Division in the Norfolk Women's & Girls Football League, having played eight matches with seven wins and just one defeat. They are aiming for promotion this season into Division 1 and there is also scope for the team to expand, possibly taking on separate girls and reserves teams.

Gibbs & Dandy King’s Lynn branch manager, Richard Smith, said: “We’re so pleased to be able to help what is a fantastic and very promising new club – it’s great to hear they’re doing so well already! The new kits look great and we have further plans in the pipeline, such as player bags to give the team a more professional look.

“As the local builders’ merchant for Kings Lynn, we like to do our bit to help the community and thought supporting a local up-and-coming team was a great way to do that. We wish the team the best of luck and are very pleased to be working with them.”

Michelle Stewart-Sheen, manager of Lynn Ladies, added: “This is our first season, but we have high hopes for the future and aim to grow the club with separate teams. To achieve this we need financial support so it’s great that a local, well-established business like Gibbs & Dandy has got behind us.”
