Plumbing Trade Supplies (PTS) and City Plumbing Supplies (CPS), which form the plumbing and heating division of the Travis Perkins Group, have welcomed Stuart Hough into the role of managing director of spares.

Previously a business markets director at British Gas, Mr Hough was involved in developing its B2B division, gaining experience of managing customers from both independent companies and complex corporations.

The new role will prioritise the development of new services and products, while ensuring the current high level of customer service is maintained across the extensive network of both merchants.

“The energy industry is closely aligned with heating and plumbing, as service and availability are king,” said Mr Hough. “This is particularly true in the spares market, where having an extensive product portfolio and being able to back it up with specialist support are crucial to installers providing a complete and thorough service to their own customers.

“As the Group’s plumbing and heating division is expanding rapidly, I’m looking forward to putting a number of new initiatives in action and evolving the product range further for both PTS and CPS customers.”
