Dansand NO WEED is an innovative range of eco-friendly weed inhibitor joint-filling products that are distributed exclusively by Active Products UK.
Dansand NO WEED is a combination of dried silica sand and other special minerals. It’s naturally high pH value helps to inhibit weed growth and germination by creating desert like conditions.
The NO WEED range of products are suitable for use on new and old stone and block paving, whether for driveways, patios, tiles or bricks.
Furthermore, the products are easy to apply: all that’s needed is for you to rid existing weeds with environmentally friendly herbicide, scale down the joints with a scraper, and clean off the stones with water. Then you can simply sweep the joint filler into the joints from all angles. A filling knife may be needed to ensure the joints are filled completely and so the joint material is neatly compressed. Any excess can be stored in a dry place for use in case the paving needs any further replenishment.
Currently, there are two products available in the NO WEED range:
Dansand NO WEED Block Paving Sand - Weed inhibiting joint filling sand is used for grooves in new and existing concrete pavements. The joint material consists of a mixture of oven-dried, nutrient-poor minerals, which give the product its light colour. This composition creates desert-like and weed-inhibiting conditions in grooves, making it difficult for weeds to take hold due to a natural high pH value.
The joint material has a long lifespan and can endure many years of permeating rain without losing its weed-inhibiting effect. NO WEED Block Paving Sand is easy to use and optimised for narrow joints on patios, driveways and walking areas.
Dansand NO WEED Stone Dust for Paving for Dark Joints - Weed inhibiting joint filling Stone Dust is used in joints for new and existing concrete and block pavements. The joint material consists of crushed granite from a special rock, which gives the product its stylish dark colour. This composition creates a weed-inhibiting and very compact joint, making it difficult for weeds to take hold.
The joint material has a long lifespan and can endure many years of permeating rain without losing its weeding inhibiting effect. NO WEED Stone Dust for paving is easy to use and optimised for both narrow and wide joints on patios, driveways and walking areas.
