A quartet of intrepid riders from Gibbs & Dandy are set to embark on a 400-mile cycle ride to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

In July, Tim Charlton, Stuart Waters, Chris Franklin and Andy Letchford, respectively from the Pudsey, Bedford, East Dulwich and St. Ives branches, will ride from London to Blois in central France. The epic trip is expected to take them four days to complete, with up to 100 miles of cycling per day.

Mr Letchford said: “We’re very excited about this challenge. While the 400-mile route may seem daunting, we’re hoping it won’t tyre us out. We’ve all put in a lot of training so I believe we can handle the distance.

“We’re raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support because it is Gibbs & Dandy’s chosen charity. Macmillan does fantastic work and supports so many people. The thought of being able to do our little bit to help the charity continue to do what it does will be a motivational factor during the ride.”
